The Pump Music Venue's Performance Agreement Contract for Bands
The Pump Performance Agreement Contract
Revised March 1, 2007
This Performance Agreement Contract is nothing more but to inform the bands their set times, The Pump’s guest list policy, all agreed pay-outs, and expectations of the bands. If we cannot agree on this, then maybe we can catch up on a later date, if you can agree totally to all these, then please email this back completely filled out.
The Load In and Set Times:
Load In Time: 6:00 PM (Unless noted otherwise)
Load Out Time: After the final band
Band Meets with Pump Staff at 7:00 in the Band Room.
*Festivals and Battle of the Bands – All Load-In and Set Times will change*
The standard payment chart is at the bottom of the page.
We pay our bands per fan that says they are there to see your band. We keep a total count at the door, and ask everyone who they are there to support. As you know you are paid by the attendance that your band draws. If you expect to be paid, you must promote your shows. Remember 50% of the music business is promotion and 50% is music talent. If you want to build a fan base, you must promote your shows.
For Touring Bands
If you are a band that is not from this area, your band will be booked with local bands. NOTE: Unless agreed upon in advance WE DO NOT OFFER TOURING BANDS A GUARANTEE. You will be paid the same as local bands. We try not to allow more than two (2) touring bands per show. ALL Touring bands will be approved by The Pump’s booking agent(s).
NOTE: Upon cancellation:
The Pump is to be notified as soon as possible. The Pump agrees and is obligated to pay the band for playing as long as our doors are open and having concerts. You, as a band, agree to perform unless there is a proven detention by sickness, accidents, epidemics, or any other legitimate condition beyond control. If this occurs, all deposits shall be returned in full to The Pump. In the event that there is not a legitimate reason, a CANCELATION FEE of $100.00 may be required.
If there might be a time when you need to cancel, do not email to tell us. You will need to call and let us know over the phone or come to The Pump and tell us.
